Lee Scrap Metals has a proud history that spans over 35 years of trading scrap in Kwa Zulu Natal. Started by Mr. Vic Lee as a small scrap yard in the early 1970’s, Lee has grown to be one of the largest independent scrap metal dealers in Kwa Zulu Natal. As one of the key recyclers in Durban, we focus on procuring recyclable material from a large number of industrial accounts within the region.

Lee has a large number of corporate accounts where customised services, such as on site recycling personnel and equipment have created win-win opportunities for both the Group and the generators of recyclable waste, thus ensuring safe and professional disposal and re-entry into the recycling chain.

As a full service recycling company Lee operates a skip/bin service for the efficient collection and transporting of scrap from industry to our processing centers.

Group Chairman Mike Flanagan started his career in metals with Lee in 1975 after graduating from Rhodes University, and has been with the Group ever since. He has been central to the development of Lee Scrap Metals.

A number of Lee personnel have worked for the company for over 30 years.
